Integrate and Leverage Data from Heterogeneous Data Sources
The Portfolio and Project planners are often faced with the situation that
‘official’ data resides within an ERP system, while candidate projects being
considered for approval are in a second system, and in-licensing opportunity
data are found only in spreadsheets. Also, compound and non-compound
efforts are not always tracked in an integrated fashion. VirtECS® COMET can
pull together this disparate data and allow the user to see the whole picture.
Gantt Chart Timelines for Projects and Deliverables
The project milestones and planned dates for individual deliverables are
shown on synchronized timelines – individual items may be colored or
formatted according to phase, status, therapeutic area, or resource intensity.
Standard and Customized Reports and Exporting
There are standard reports available which allow quick collation and export of
summary and individual project detail – in both tabular form and charts. Also,
the ad hoc reporting capabilities allow the user to drill-down for more information
on a given project or resource, and filter and/or group data as desired.
The results of the ad hoc reports may also be exported as CSV files.
Resource Usage Analysis Tools
VirtECS® COMET shows the same information at several different levels,
synchronizing the views; this allows the user both ‘panorama’ views of the
planning landscape as well as detailed resource usage ‘snapshots’. Define
your own ‘watch panel’ to highlight information most critical to your operation.
Flexible Customizable Layout
The interface is designed with multiple panels which the user may resize,
dock, hide, or group with other panels, and these layouts are remembered.
This allows quick access to the most important information whether your
focus is on the project timeline, deliverable dates or one specific resource.
