The set of pallets and tickets generated by DPS accurately mirrors each customer's ordered items. Mispicks are significantly reduced through these pick tickets, which are typically taped to the finalized pallets as a record of their contents. Customer satisfaction is improved and the cost and hassle of returned cases caused by manual translation of orders to pallets is eliminated.

There are a large number of factors to consider in designing a pallet besides stability constraints: location of stock within the warehouse, where the pallet will go on the truck, how to split cases for orders with multiple pallets, customer requirements for offloading, and preferences for which workers may be in different areas.
